Dr. Mubaashir Uqdah
Mubaashir Uqdah accepted Al-Islam in Plainfield New Jersey in 1977 under the leadership of Imam W. Deen Mohammed. From the moment he became a Muslim he has been an avid student of Al-Islam and the commentary of Imam W. Deen Mohammed and an active worker in the community.Some of his past activities have been:
  • Chairperson of his local Masjid’s CRAID committee
  • Co-founder of UMMRAH, United Muslim Musicians and Recording Artists
  • Convener of the NJ Monitoring Team
  • Convener of the New Jersey Associates for Community Planning
  • Assistant to the NJ Council of Imams
Currently, brother Uqdah is contributing to a number of projects of value to the community of Imam W. Deen Mohammed, including:
  • Author of 4 books on Applying the Teachings of Imam Mohammed. Click the Books tab to view.
  • Writes a column for the Muslim Journal, a Weekly National Newspaper
  • Founder and Coordinator of the Northeast Muslim Email Network
  • Preserving the lectures of Imam Mohammed and making them available on various websites, including www.iwdmstudylibrary.com
  • Assistant Convener for the Northeast Section of Imams Associated with Imam Mohammed

Mubaashir currently resides in Pennsylvania. He is married, has 3 children, a Bachelor’s degree in Business Systems & Information Technology, he was dubbed a Doctor of the Philosophy from Imam W. Deen Mohammed, and he has had a successful 18 year career as a Senior Technical Writer spanning several fortune 500 companies.
